The program aims to empower 50 aspiring and emerging student entrepreneurs enrolled in tertiary institutions throughout Lagos State. These individuals will receive comprehensive training, valuable knowledge, and an extensive network to navigate the dynamic business landscape, foster innovation, and successfully expand their businesses. The ultimate goal of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program 2023 is to promote youth employment and contribute to the economic growth of Lagos State.
Launched in 2011 by the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) is a vibrant initiative focused on empowering young individuals in Nigeria. The program is designed to provide our members and other young Nigerians with proactive engagement, training, collaborative platforms, and networking opportunities. Through these means, CYFI aims to foster career development, facilitate the growth of organizations, and encourage active citizenship among the youth.

Eligibility for the Carrington Youth Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program 2023 for Student Entrepreneurs:
- Applicants must be students in tertiary institutions.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent leadership abilities.
- Applicants must not be more than 18 to 35 years of age.
- Applicants must be available to commit 3-4 hours weekly to the program from August to November.
- Applicants must be students in tertiary institutions in Lagos State only.
