The WAAW Foundation Scholarship 2026 is currently open for application from outstanding young African women who are interested in pursuing STEM education at undergraduate level at an accredited university without financial stress beginning from the 2027 academic year.
The WAAW Foundation Scholarship enables female college students in Africa to pursue their studies in a STEM-related course. With this Undergraduate Scholarship, you are free to focus on achieving your academic goal and volunteer to give back to your community and promote the engagement of women in STEM through the STEM Outreach Chapter at their university.
Every year, hundreds of brilliant young women across Africa dream of pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) but financial barriers stand in their way. With the WAAW Foundation Scholarship Fund, these students get their tuition support.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Studying STEM-related courses in a University or college in Africa.
- Presently a first or second year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a University.
- Ability to demonstrate financial need
- Excellent Academic Record.
- Proven leadership, volunteering, and community service
- Below the age of 32 years.
Scholarship Worth
The WAAW Foundation scholarship is a one-time award of $500.
Eligible Programs
Only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) related courses are accepted and will be considered for the scholarship offer.
Medical and Nursing students are not eligible to apply for the WAAW Foundation scholarship but pharmacy students are.
