Suitably qualified students from Africa, Asia or Latin America are invited to submit application for the VLIR-UOS ICP Connect Scholarships 2027 for a chance to study a professional bachelors or masters degree program in Belgium from September 2027.
The VLIR-UOS ICP Connect Scholarships 2027 gives students from eligible Africa, Asia or Latin America countries the opportunity to study a 3 years professional bachelors or masters degree program at an accredited university in Belgium starting from the 2027 academic session. The Bachelors Scholarships and Masters Scholarships equip students to become leaders and change agents in their fields, contributing to societal transformation across various sectors. Students from 25 eligible countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America are invited to apply for these scholarships (with Mali recently added to the list).

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold nationality from one of the 30 eligible countries and reside in any of these countries (though not necessarily in their country of origin) at the time of application.
- Applicants for a bachelor or initial master programme cannot be older than 35 as of 1 January of the intake year, while candidates for an advanced master cannot be older than 45. Additionally, candidates for a bachelor programme must be at least 19 years old by 1 January of the intake year.
- Preference will be given to candidates employed in higher education, government, or civil society, or those targeting a career in one of these sectors. Newly graduated candidates or those employed in the private sector with no work experience may also be considered if they provide strong motivation and a compelling profile.
- Applicants may apply for only one ICP Connect scholarship per year. Candidates cannot receive any other scholarship or grant to participate in this study programme or another programme simultaneously.
- Applicants may not have previously received a scholarship from the Belgian government to attend a study programme, nor may they have enrolled in a study programme at a Belgian higher education institution before 1 January of the year of intake.

To apply for the VLIR-UOS ICP Connect Scholarships 2027, follow these steps:
- Check your eligibility based on all the given criteria.
- Learn more about the selected study programmes on their respective websites.
- For a specific programme of interest, visit the website of the institution offering it and follow the instructions.
- On the university’s website, apply for both the programme and the scholarship. When submitting your application for the programme, ensure to mention whether you also wish to apply for a scholarship. Do not apply for more than one ICP programme per year.
