United Nations 2025 OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme
Suitably qualified human rights defenders who belong to national, ethnic, religious, or linguistic minority groups and are dedicated to promoting minority rights are invited to apply for the United Nations 2025 OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme. This fully funded program enables participants to expand their understanding of human rights and minority rights and to develop or improve their networks with like-minded activists as well as the United Nations and NGOs based in Geneva
The program being an action-oriented exciting learning professional and networking program targeting to equip the participants with knowledge and skills so as to be able to impart the like training to the different communities back in their countries once they get back home will be launched in Geneva Switzerland.
The UN MFP 2025 nominations are due on 22nd November 2024. The best candidates are those who are in the employment of organizations that handle minorities and who can come back and apply that gained knowledge to the betterment of their organizations.

Eligibility for the United Nations 2025 OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme
- Must belong to a national, ethnic, linguistic, or religious minority group.
- Formal education is not required; relevant experience can be demonstrated instead.
- Must be able, willing, and have the opportunity to train others in their community or organization after returning.
- Good working knowledge of the program’s language (English, Russian, or Arabic) is required.
- Candidates should be nominated and supported by their community or organization, which ideally:
- Has a strong constituency or membership within the minority group.
- Represents and advocates on minority issues.
- Conducts work related to minority rights.
- Includes members from minority groups.
Program Goal:
- The UN MFP aims to provide minority individuals with knowledge and skills in international human rights to help them advocate for minority and human rights within their communities upon return.

Method of Application;
- Application Forms: Available in English, Russian, and Arabic.

- Recommendation Letter: Attach an official recommendation letter from your nominating organization or community.
- Submission: Ensure all sections are complete and submit well before the deadline.
- Only fully completed applications, including the recommendation letter uploaded on the form, will be considered.
