The 2023 Sigma Awards for Data Journalists worldwide are awarded to outstanding data journalists from all over the world to empower, elevate and enlighten their global community with a funded trip to Perugia, Italy & up to US$5,000 cash prize to be won as a result of the diverse challenges their community face on a yearly basis.
The award for Data Journalists worldwide is organized and funded by Sigma Awards to celebrate the best data journalism from all over the world. It also aims to empower, elevate and enlighten the global community of data journalists in this fourth year of the organization. The international data journalism community is facing many challenges, and Sigma Awards wants to support them. This year’s Sigma Awards will be about highlighting the very best data journalism done about the pandemic and building an international database record of such projects, the Russia-Ukraine war, but also those covering other topics such as politics, sports, or the environment. The award is worth a funded trip to Perugia, Italy & up to a US$5,000 cash prize to be won.
Sigma Awards aims to bring together a community, and support those working with data, whether it’s on COVID-19 or international conflicts because that’s one of the priorities for the Sigma Awards community at the moment or on any other related subject.
