Nurturing Emerging Scholars Programme 2022 (NESP) for Studies in France
The South African Government in collaboration with French Embassy in South Africa are pleased to announce their latest opportunity as they invites intelligent fresh graduate who wish to further their academic pursuit in France to take a chance on their ongoing Nurturing Emerging Scholars Programme (NESP) for the 2022-2023 academic session.
The scholarship is strictly for South African citizens who wish to study abroad, and will encompass several awards which will aid in the tuition fee for successful applicants. The program have been termed as one of the toughest masters scholarship program provided by the Government and often considered as a national programme aimed at supporting South African prospective academics to pursue Master’s degrees in areas of need at a Public French university and a 1-year academic internship at a recruiting South African university.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for the 2022 Nurturing Emerging Scholars Programme (NESP);
- Interested applicant must show interest in becoming an academic.
- Interested applicant must not be above 35 years.
- Interested applicant must be a South African citizen.
- Possess a minimum average of 65% attained in an appropriate Level 8 qualification.
- Show commitment to placement at the recruiting South African University for the full 3 years of the programme (2 years studying at any French public university, and 1 year of internship at the recruiting South African university).
Eligible Fields of Study: Marine Science Physical-Oceanography, Physics, Chemistry, Information and Communication technology, Statistics.
