Suitably qualified Women Journalists and editors who meet the eligibility for the award are invited to apply to the Women in News Leadership Accelerator Programme 2024 which opens the door to so many awesome opportunities in the media space.

The Women in News (WIN) Leadership Accelerator is a rigorous career and leadership initiative designed for journalists and editors operating in Africa, the Arab Region, and Southeast Asia, spanning nine months. The program accepts an annual cohort of 100-150 participants. Eligible candidates for this initiative include women media professionals from specific countries, including but not limited to Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe (for WIN Africa); Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine (for WIN Arab Region); and Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia (for Southeast Asia).

Requirements for the Women in News Leadership Accelerator Programme 2024:

  • The focus of the WIN Leadership Accelerator is on mid to senior-level editors and journalists within WIN’s targeted intervention markets.
  • Applicants should possess two to three years of experience in overseeing individuals or processes, and they should be employed in the media sector, which includes print or digital newspapers, radio, and, in certain instances, broadcasting.

One-on-one coaching to create a three-to-five-year career roadmap
