Eligibility for the TWAS-TUBITAK Postgraduate Fellowship 2025
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
- Must be permanent residents and nationals of a developing country in the South.
- Candidates from Science and Technology Lagging Countries (STLC) and women are especially encouraged to apply. (For the STLC list, visit Twas STLC Countries).
- Must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in Turkey or any developed country.
- Applicants currently in Turkey are not eligible for this fellowship.
- Must hold a master’s or equivalent degree in natural and related applied sciences (in one of the eligible fields).
- Maximum age of 35 years on December 31 of the application year.
- Must be registered for a doctoral program in natural and related applied sciences (in the specified fields) at a higher education institution in the home country or another developing country by the application deadline.
Method of Application
Interested applicants must submit an online application through the TÜBİTAK application portal. Before applying, candidates need to create a profile on the TÜBİTAK Researcher Information System (ARBİS). Ensure that the details of the researchers and academic advisors in Turkey are current in the ARBIS system before submitting the application.
Applications will only be accepted through the online application form; no other submission methods will be accepted by TÜBİTAK and TWAS. Be mindful of the application deadline, as no late submissions will be accepted. It’s advisable to submit your application as early as possible.
