The MEST Africa Challenge (MAC) stands as a Pan-African pitching contest designed for early-stage technology startups aiming to accelerate their progress and expansion. Originally established to offer a platform for technology startups to secure funding, establish industry connections, and achieve worldwide recognition, the competition has evolved into a significant institution within Africa’s startup technology sector. It provides an unparalleled global stage to numerous entrepreneurs hailing from various parts of the continent.

Eligibility for the MEST Africa Challenge 2023 for Entrepreneurs:
- Applicant’s business must be an early-stage technology startup based in at least one of the 5 countries where MEST Africa will hold the Regional Finals (Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Kenya).
- Applicants must have a monthly Recurring Revenue of a minimum of $5k.
- Applicants funding must be raised to a cumulative of $1M or less
- Applicants’ years in existence must be 3 years and below.
- Applicants must have at least 6 months of recurring revenue.
- Applicants must have at least 2 founding team members
