Fully Funded Graduate Research Scholarships 2023 at University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne is delighted to announce the availability of its Fully Funded Graduate Research Scholarships 2023 for eligible and outstanding students who are interested in pursuing a full-time Master by Research degree or a Ph.D. degree for a duration of up to 3.5 years at the University.

High-achieving students, both domestic and international, who are pursuing a Master by Research degree or a Ph.D. degree, have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. The Graduate Research Scholarships are granted to eligible students based on their academic excellence and provide a stipend along with a fee offset. The Master’s scholarship and Ph.D. scholarship are open to applicants from all fields of study and offer up to 100% fee remission. Approximately 600 recipients will be awarded a value of up to $110,000.

For students pursuing a Master by Research degree, a living allowance of $34,400 per year (pro rata based on the 2023 full-time study rate) will be provided for up to two years. For students undertaking a Ph.D. degree, the living allowance will be available for a period of up to 3.5 years. The living allowance may be adjusted annually based on indexing and covers limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave.

Method of Application for the Fully Funded Graduate Research Scholarships 2023 at University of Melbourne:

New students who have submitted an application for a graduate research course before the specified application closing date will be automatically included in the selection process for the Graduate Research Scholarships.

To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship in the following year, applicants who have accepted a graduate research course offer but deferred their commencement must complete and submit an online application form by 31 October.
