Federal Government Scholarships Awards (BEA) 2025/2026 to Study Overseas
Interested applicants are invited by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Scholarship Board, to apply for the 2025/2026 Federal Government Scholarships Awards.
These scholarships, offered under the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA), provide opportunities for Nigerian students to pursue Undergraduate studies in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria. Postgraduate studies in Russia, China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.

Eligibility;
Undergraduate Applicants
- Minimum 7 distinctions (A’s & B’s) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, in WASSCE/WAEC (May/June only).
- Certificates must be from 2023 or 2024 for non-African countries and 2024 for African countries.
- Age limit: 17 to 20 years.
Postgraduate Applicants
- A first degree with at least 1st Class or 2nd Class Upper Division.
- Completion of the NYSC program is mandatory.
- Age limit: 35 years for Master’s and 40 years for PhD programs.
General Notes for All Applicants
- BEA countries are non-English speaking; applicants must complete a one-year mandatory foreign language course in the country of choice.
Hungarian Scholarship:
- Apply for up to two fields of study at stipendiumhungaricum.hu.
- Applications are open from mid-November 2024 to January 15, 2025.
Russian Postgraduate Scholarship:
- The first degree must be obtained in Russia.
- Apply at education-in-russia.com.

Postgraduate Applicants:
- First Degree Certificate and/or Master’s Degree.
- WAEC/WASSCE certificates.
- Indigene letter.
- NYSC discharge certificate.
Additional Documents for Nominated Candidates
- Authenticated copies of academic certificates.
- Data page of a valid international passport.
- Medical reports from government hospitals.
- Birth certificate and indigene letter.
- Police clearance certificate (if applicable).
