Suitably qualified researchers from all over the world are invited to apply for the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) Junior and Senior Fellowships 2025/2026. The Junior fellowships last for 23 months while the senior fellowships will last for 11 months, commencing on 1 September 2025.

Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) is pleased to offer up to 10 Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) Junior and Senior Fellowships in this 2024/2025 call. The AIAS-AUFF Junior and Senior Fellowships are available for curiosity-driven, talented researchers from all over the world and within all research disciplines.

Fellowship Summary:

Eligibility for the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) Junior and Senior Fellowships 2025:

  • Researchers from all research disciplines of any nationality
  • Researchers who comply with a mobility demand as applicants must not have resided or carried out their main work activity in Denmark for more than 12 months in the two years immediately before the deadline of the call.
  • Researchers with a career experience of 2-10 years after completion of their PhD (23 months junior fellowships)
  • Researchers with a career experience of 11+ years after completion of their PhD (11 months senior fellowships).

Fellowship Benefits:

  • A salary based on seniority (employment conditions and wages are regulated through the Danish collective union agreements)
  • Relocation travel costs covered
  • Relocation assistance.

Fellows will have office space at AIAS and can participate in academic training activities, conferences, and workshops at AIAS. They will also be affiliated with the relevant research environments at Aarhus University.

  • Deadline for applications: 5 November 2024 at noon CET.
  • Evaluation and selection period: November-February 2025.
  • Applicants will receive answers: in March 2025.
  • Fellowships begin on 1 September 2025.
