2023 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme (GOI-IES)
The 2023 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme (GOI-IES) is offered to suitably qualified international students who are looking to pursue a master’s or Ph.D. degree program in all fields of study at any recognized university in Ireland to receive a funding amount worth €10,000 in the form of yearly stipends.
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme (GOI-IES) is issued by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) to offer up to 60 Master’s scholarships and PhD scholarships to outstanding non-EU or EEA students with an offer of admission from any recognized Ireland university. The goal of the 2023 GOI-IES funding scheme worth a full tuition fee waiver and a yearly stipend of €10,000 is to reflect Ireland’s engagement in target partner countries. The funding scheme is operated in the higher education sector and funded in partnership between the Government of Ireland and the higher education institutions (HEIs). It is expected that for every scholarship awardee, awareness of Ireland among many more potential students as a location of excellence in international will rise.

Eligibility for the 2023 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme (GOI-IES):
- Applicants must be international students, that is non-EU or EEA students.
- Applicants must have an offer of admission for a full time one year degree program in Ireland.
- Applicants must meet the entry requirement of their preferred university.
- Applicants must have a record of outstanding academic achievement.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills.
- Applicants must take part in extra curriculum activities such as humanitarian work, politics either local, national, or international, arts, or sports.
