In other to be eligible for the scholarship award, interested applicants must meet the following criteria below:
- Interested applicants must have a high school certificate or its equivalent with good grades.
- Interested applicants must have a good record of high school academic achievement in other to be considered.
- Interested applicants whose first language is not English must give proof of correspondent proficiency in English Language through their high school examination, first school leaving examination or by scoring a minimum recommended in recognized English language test like, IELTS, TOEFL, and Pearson PTE.

In other to be considered for the scholarship award, interested applicants are required to apply for an undergraduate degree program in the following fields below: College of Science, Engineering and Food Science offered by the University College.
