Suitably qualified students from West Africa are invited to apply for the WASCAL Master’s Research Programme 2024 which offers candidates a fully funded postgraduate scholarship to study in Germany and West African countries for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The WASCAL Master’s Research Programme aims to support graduate students of West African origin with a fully funded Master’s scholarship to study in any higher education institutions in West Africa and Germany for the 2024/2025 academic session. This financial aid is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) of Germany and the 12 West African member countries.

Eligibility for the WASCAL Master’s Research Programme 2024:
- Applicants must be admitted to study an eligible master’s program at the participating universities for the 2024/2025 academic session.
- Applicants must have obtained a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Applicants must be citizens of the West African member countries.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
Method of Application for the WASCAL Master’s Research Programme 2024:
Interested and eligible applicants for the WASCAL Master’s Research Programme 2024 are to complete an online application in either the Informatics for Climate Change Programme or the Climate Change and Marine Science Programme before the application deadline.
