LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Fellowship Programme 2023
Suiatably qualified applicants from an African nation are invited to submit application for the LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Fellowship Programme 2023. It is a Programme that is opened for applicants between the age of 18 – 35 years. LEAP programme is an accelerator fellowship that empowers young changemakers through an approach to building their capacity, connections and credibility.
LEAP( Leadership, Effectiveness, Accountability and Professionalism) programme was established in 2002. LEAP Africa is a non profit organization committed to developing dynamic, innovative and principled African leader. LEAP Africa has dedicated it’s efforts to work and provide support as well as leadership for visionary youth, business owners, and social entrepreneurs. LEAP has inspired and equipped it beneficiaries to lead ethically while implementing positive change projects that transform their communities and organizations.
The initiative covers various aspects of the society such as Agriculture, Youth Empowerment, Education, Science and Technology, Health, Law, Human Rights among others. LEAP is seeking applications for it’s social innovators Programme and awards that is a yearly fellowship that empowers and equips 20 young African changemakers with skills and tools for building sustainable enterprises. During the course of the fellowship, fellows will be exposed to a 6 day residential sustainability training and workshop, mentoring by seasoned professionals, online learning and advisory support. All applicants applying for this programme must be the founder or co-founder of venture that has not previously participated in LEAP Africa Social Innovators Programme. The application process is open to any applicants who is from any African country. It is advisable to apply on time in order to avoid technical issues. All applicants will be notified of their status via email. Selected participants will not be paid a stipend/allowance. Travel expenses to the physical workshop will be reimbursed for all participants.

Eligibility for the LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Fellowship Programme 2023:
- Applicants must be a citizen of an African nation.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of an African nation.
- Applicant’s future enterprise must be geographically located in a local community in an African nation.
- Applicants must have founded or co-founded a social venture(s) with at least one year of impact.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must be professionally proficient in English both in writing and speaking.
- Applicants must fully commit to participating in the entire duration of the program.
- Applicants must be the founder or co-founder of a venture that has not previously participated in the program.
