The Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023 are offered to suitably qualified students who are interested in a graduate research study in Germany for the 2023/2024 academic year. The goal of the Short–Term Research Grants program is to encourage research initiatives that are part of doctoral programs.

Who can apply for the Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023:
Doctoral applicants who have already completed their Ph.D., young academics, and scientists who have completed a Master‘s degree, Diploma, or in some cases a Bachelor‘s degree by the time they start their grant–supported research are eligible to apply.
What can be funded for the Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023:
A research project or course of advanced scientific study at a German university, university of applied sciences, or non–university research institute, which is conducted with the guidance of a faculty member in Germany.
Duration of the Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023:
- The selection committee will determine the length of the grant, which may range from one month up to a maximum of six months, based on the project and the applicant‘s work schedule.
- The grant does not renew automatically.
Benefits of the Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023:
- Depending on the academic level, monthly payments of euros 861 for graduates and euros 1,200 for doctoral applicants.

- Travel allowance

Language skills for the Fully Funded DAAD Short-Term Research Grants 2023:
The language requirements for applying to scholarships in Germany vary depending on the applicant‘s study plans and major. Generally, applicants studying the arts, social sciences, or law need to demonstrate good German language skills, while applicants studying the natural sciences or engineering may be able to submit proof of good English language skills if English is used at the host institute.

The DAAD allows for non–certified scans of certificates, proof of credits, certifications, and translations to be uploaded to the portal. However, they reserve the right to request certified copies of the documents.
