Africa Excellence Scholarship 2022 at University of Newcastle
The University of Newcastle is inviting high intellectual African students who wishes to take up a degree course in Australia to enroll in their ongoing Africa Excellence Scholarship programme for the 2022-2023 academic session.
As stated above, the scholarship program is basically for Africans who wants to study abroad and it covers both undergraduates as well as postgraduates. It is aimed at proving support for these candidates to pilot their academic affairs smoothly in the country throughout their study duration, and also provides other opportunities such as jobs in the country. The programme is made available to candidates with solid academic background as ATAR and GPA will be a major determinant factor, and strictly on a merit basis.
The University of Newcastle Africa Excellence Scholarship have been in existence for more than 5 decades now and have helped in building lots of African leaders as well as creating several initiatives among them.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for the 2022 Africa Excellence Scholarship.
- Interested applicant be an African, that means he or she must have a passport from one of the 54 countries of Africa.
- Applicants must be commencing study in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program at the University (excluding ELICOS, Enabling, Non-Award, Higher Degrees by Research programs and programs delivered at offshore campuses).
- Applicants must be an International full-fee paying student.
- Applicants must be commencing in an eligible program at an Australian or Online campus as indicated in your Letter of Offer.
- Applicants must not be the beneficiary of a separate University scholarship unless prior approval for special dispensation has been obtained from the university.
- Applicants must meet all of the financial obligations of a full-fee paying international student, including the full tuition fee and other expenses for the purpose of obtaining your student visa, and in the event that eligibility for the scholarship is not maintained.
Please Note: Students who do not receive an offer of the scholarship will not be eligible for the scholarship. Internal transfer students who are studying at an Australian or Online campus and were not previously awarded the scholarship will also not be eligible. Students studying quota-limited programs will not be eligible for this scholarship (please view full terms and conditions for the list of quota-limited programs which will not be eligible)

Application Process for University of Newcastle Africa Excellence Scholarship 2022
Interested applicant who meets the above requirements are expected to take no actions as the Scholarship awards will be shared automatically to students who have received an offer to study in an eligible, non-quota program and who will commence studying with the University of Newcastle. Successful students will receive notification of the value of their scholarship with their Letter of Offer and should review the full terms and conditions, advising the university if you do not wish to accept.
