The 2023 Photo Contest for Photographers is an annual organized and funded by World Press to recognize and celebrate the best photojournalism and documentary photography produced over the last year. Applicants require no application fee at all to enter their work and applicants could win €1,000 as a regional winner and an additional €5,000 as a global winner, have their work showcased to a global audience, and many more benefits.

‘You are already wondering what World Press is all about right? It is a free and open-source content management system written in hypertext preprocessor language and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database with supported HTTPS. Features include a plugin architecture and a template system, referred to within WordPress as “Themes”. WordPress was originally created as a blog-publishing system but has evolved to support other web content types including more traditional mailing lists and Internet fora, media galleries, membership sites, learning management systems, and online stores.

The contest is open to all professional photographers worldwide working in the field of photojournalism or documentary photography.
