The OPEC Fund provides an Internship Program that allows students from various academic disciplines to gain experience working with an international organization. The Internship Program by OPEC Fund provides opportunities to specialize in one or more of the following areas: public sector operations, private sector, and trade finance operations, grants, financial operations, risk management, strategic planning and economic services, internal audit, human resources, administration, communication, legal services, and information technology.

The organization offers a range of financial and technical support, including loans, grants, and partnerships, to facilitate projects in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, and energy. Eligibility for the OPEC Fund International Internships 2024:
- Applicants should fall within the age range of 19 to 25 years and be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (with a minimum of two years completed) or a graduate program. Alternatively, applicants can be recent graduates, having obtained their degree within one year prior to the application deadline.
- Applicants must be proficient in English. Knowledge of an additional language (e.g. French, Spanish, Arabic) is an asset.
- Applicants must be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office).
- Applicants must have a keen interest in the work of the OPEC Fund.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate cultural awareness.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate the OPEC Fund’s core values (Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, and Community).
Method of Application for the OPEC Fund International Internships 2024:
To be considered for the OPEC Fund International Internships in 2024, applicants need to fill out an online application and provide the following documentation:
- A Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- A copy of their university diploma or equivalent, or an original letter of confirmation from a university/school certifying the applicant is/was an undergraduate student;
- A copy of their most recent university transcripts, showing the cumulative GPA or equivalent; and
- A short statement in English (about 150-250 words) outlining their motivation for applying.
