Machel-Mandela Internship Programme 2023 at Brenthurst Foundation
Applications are now being accepted for the Machel-Mandela Internship Programme 2023 at Brenthurst Foundation from recent graduates joining their Internship Programme, created in honour of the late South African President Nelson Mandela and his wife Graca Machel. This programme is designed to be the most prestigious of its kind in Africa and provides young people with the opportunity to hone their leadership skills and become the leaders of tomorrow.
The Brenthurst Foundation is offering a full–time internship for a minimum of six months beginning on June 1, 2023. The intern could come from South Africa or from abroad and will be based in Parktown, Johannesburg. They will be working closely with the staff of the Foundation on a number of projects and activities, some of which may require foreign travel.

Eligibility for the Machel-Mandela Internship Programme 2023 at Brenthurst Foundation:
- Applicants must be under the age of 30 years at the time of application.
- Applicants must have Masters’s level degree.
- Applicants must have excellent spoken and written English.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills.
- Applicants must be enthusiastic and reliable, a self-starter who requires minimal oversight and management.
- Applicants must be able to balance deadlines and attention to detail.
- Applicants must be fluent in all basic IT skills.
- Applicants must have copy-editing and proofreading skills.
- Applicants must passion for Africa and a keen interest in new thinking and strategies to strengthen Africa’s economic performance.
- Applicants must have a broad knowledge of African politics and economics.
- Familiarity with the work of the Brenthurst Foundation.
