Italian Government Grants 2024 for Foreign Students and Italian Citizens Living Abroad
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) invites suitably qualified international students looking to study a degree program in Italy for the 2024/2025 academic session to apply for the Italian Government Grants 2024 for Foreign Students and Italian Citizens Living Abroad.
The Italian Government Grants are offered to complete study courses and research/training programs in public or legally recognized Italian educational institutions to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological fields, to promote the Italian language and culture, and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (according to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).
These fully funded Undergraduate scholarships and Postgraduate scholarships are offered to deserving students who can not afford to study in Italy without any form of financial support.

Eligibility for the Italian Government Grants 2024 for Foreign Students and Italian Citizens Living Abroad:
- Applicants must have a valid passport or identity document. They must upload a legible photocopy of the document at registration, under penalty of exclusion.
- Applicants must also have the following requirements by the deadline date of the call.
- Applications must only be submitted by foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) holding an appropriate academic qualification required to enroll at the Italian University/Institute (more information on: https://studyinitaly.esteri.it/Static/ProcedureIscrizione).
- Applicants for Master’s Degree/Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM) Programmes/ Italian Language and Culture advanced Courses should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 28 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th, 1995), with the sole exception of renewals.
- Applicants for PhD Programmes should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 30 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th, 1993), with the sole exception of renewals.
- Applicants for Research Projects under academic supervision should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 40 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th, 1983).
- Applicants must be from the list of eligible countries found at the following link: https://studyinitaly.esteri.it/ListaBandi.
