HerRise Micro-Grant 2023 For Women Of Color Entrepreneurs

Interested women of color are invited to apply for the HerRise Micro-Grant 2023 For Women Of Color Entrepreneurs to receive the $1,000 grant that enables their businesses to grow.

Since 2017, the Yva Jourdan Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with HerSuiteSpot, has been awarding microgrants to Women of Color entrepreneurs. The purpose is to support them in initiating or expanding their businesses. The HerRise MicroGrant offers financial aid, facilitated by our corporate sponsors and donors, to Women of Color who are developing innovative solutions that positively influence their communities and often face challenges in securing funding for their small businesses.

Grants designated for small businesses play a crucial role in addressing specific financial requirements unique to each enterprise. Previous beneficiaries of these growth grants have utilized the funds for diverse purposes, including acquiring computers, equipment, marketing materials, and software, and creating websites, among other essential needs.

Despite being the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs, Women of Color encounter substantial challenges when attempting to scale their businesses. Recognizing these obstacles, the Yva Jourdan Foundation, serving as the nonprofit extension of HerSuiteSpot, actively mobilizes resources to support Women of Color entrepreneurs. The foundation aims to raise funds that empower these entrepreneurs by providing access to crucial elements such as coaching, community support, and essential capital. This multifaceted assistance is designed to facilitate the growth and advancement of Women of Color-led businesses, helping them overcome barriers and elevate their enterprises to the next level.

Eligibility for the HerRise Micro-Grant 2023 For Women Of Color Entrepreneurs:

Applicant’s business must be 51% owned by women of color.
Applicant’s businesses must currently be registered in the US.
