High-level international scholars and scientists are encouraged to apply for the Fully Funded French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Program 2024. The program offers 10-month fellowships at seven Institutes in Aix-Marseille, Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, Paris, and Rennes. The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) has 40 fellowship positions available for the 2024/2025 academic year, distributed among seven institutes. There are four positions in Aix-Marseille, three in Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), 10 in Lyon, three in Montpellier, four in Nantes, 13 in Paris, and three in Rennes. All research fields and disciplines within the social sciences and humanities (SSH) are eligible to apply for the Fully Funded French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Program. Eligibility for the Fully Funded French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Program 2024:
- The FIAS offers fellowships to exceptional researchers at all stages of their careers, ranging from postdoctoral researchers to senior scientists. To be eligible, applicants must have a Ph.D. and two years of research experience at the time of application. However, scholars with a master’s degree and six years of full-time research experience after the degree can also apply, and the calculation of their experience will not include Ph.D. training. Exceptions may be made in some cases.
- The FIAS Fellowship Program is open to researchers from all nations, provided that they have not spent more than 12 months in France within the three years preceding the application deadline.
