AIMS South Africa/DeepMind AI for Science Scholarship 2023
The AIMS South Africa/DeepMind AI for Science Scholarship 2023 is offered to young African students who are passionate about mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to pursue their master’s degree program in these areas of specialization at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIM) for 2023/2024 academic session. The fully funded scholarship helps these young students from Africa to perfect their dreams in science at the institute in South Africa.
AIMS South Africa has partnered with DeepMind to offer a one–year, residential Master‘s degree in Mathematical Science with a focus on AI for Science. This program combines AI and Science to create a unique learning experience. Students will learn through a combination of lectures, research projects, and a research paper. DeepMind has pledged to provide funding for 40 students annually over the next four years. In addition to offering Master’s scholarships, the program will leverage DeepMind’s cutting-edge AI technology to benefit the world of science.
The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIM) is a tertiary education and research institute in Muizenberg, South Africa, established in September 2003, and an associated network of linked institutes in Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
