
Application is now open for the National Treasury Bursary Scheme 2027 for South Africans. For eligible students, this scholarship helps to fund your undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a South African university.
National Treasury Bursary Scheme 2027 provides financial support to suitably qualified South African students who are in their third year of undergraduate studies, Honours and Masters at an eligible South African university. One of the criteria for this Undergraduate Scholarships and Postgraduate Scholarships is that you must be studying one of the eligible fields of study.
The National Treasury is committed to youth and skills development in South African. The Bursary scheme is directed at providing financial support to South African students studying in the fields deemed critical and scarce for the National Treasury.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be accepted or registered for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a registered and accredited local higher education institution (South African institution)
- Be a South African citizen
- Be well rounded academically, with strong performance in any of the eligible fields of the study
- Be in third year of undergraduate studies, Honours and Masters studies in 2027
- Preference will be given to high performing students with top grades.

Method of Application
To apply for the National Treasury Bursary Scheme 2027 for South Africans, log into the National Treasury e-Recruitment and apply. Your application must be accompanied by the following:
- Completed application form
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Grade 12 statement of results and certificate
- Official tertiary academic record (from first year up to the latest results available).
Please be aware that post, hand delivered, faxed and late applications will not be accepted.
