2023 Global Health Corps Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowship Program
Suitably qualified African professionals who are not more than 30 years of age with a bachelor’s degree program are invited to submit an application for the 2023 Global Health Corps Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowship Program that offers young professionals a range of paid, high-impact fellowship roles with health organizations in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia, and the opportunity to develop as a transformative leader.
The Global Health Corps Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowship Program recruits and selects highly qualified applicants with various skill sets to be placed in high-impact organizations for a 13 months fellowship. During the fellowship year, fellows will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to their placement organizations and the communities they serve and also have the chance to join and contribute to the movement for health equity in the African community. The Global Health Corps acceptance rate is about 2 to 3%. as young professionals from 13 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa are recruited through a highly selective process to serve for 13 months in high-impact roles on the front lines of global health.
The Global Health Corps is a U.S. non-profit organization that offers a competitive fellowship to support emerging global health leaders with paid 13 months fellowships program with organizations promoting health equity in East Africa, Southern Africa, and the United States.

Eligibility for the 2023 Global Health Corps Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowship Program:
- Applicants must be from or hold a legal permanent residence in Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
- Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must possess a bachelor’s or undergraduate university degree with excellent results.
- Applicants must possess English language proficiency.
