WHO/Science Road Safety Reporting Training 2024
Eligible African journalists and media trainers are invited to apply for the WHO/Science Road Safety Reporting Training 2024. This program is a three-day training workshop for African journalists to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 16th to 18th July 2024.
The Science Road Safety Reporting Training workshop will also include the official launch of the WHO Africa Regional Report on Road Safety which aims to equip African journalists to report on key road safety issues and help them to train others.
The Road Safety Reporting Initiative aims to help journalists tell more and better stories that help reduce deaths from road crashes. As part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety, it offers training, mentoring, tools, and resources to help journalists dig deeper into the issue.

Eligibility for the WHO/Science Road Safety Reporting Training 2024:
- Applicants must be a journalist
- Applicants must be a media trainer
- Applications are open to journalists and media trainers from Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.
- After the training, participants may apply for grants to support reporting or training on road safety with mentoring provided by the Science Africa team.
