Exceptional international students who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to apply for the Stamps Scholars Program 2026 at University of Notre Dame for a chance at a reduced tuition cost or fully funded for up to entire duration of an undergraduate degree program starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.
The Stamps Scholars Program is a multi-year tuition merit scholarships award with additional enrichment funds for international students to use toward their academic and professional development. The Undergraduate Scholarships is worth tuition and fees as well as the estimated cost of books, personal expenses, and transportation for up to four years of undergraduate study at the University of Notre Dame are awarded to students who demonstrate academic merit, display strong leadership potential and reveal exceptional character.
Established in 2006 by E. Roe Stamps and his late wife Penny, the Stamps Scholars Program at University of Notre Dame attracts exceptional students who exemplify leadership, service, scholarship, innovation, and character. The Stamps Scholars Program generally worth about $20,000 to $98,000 (four-year awards total an average of $80,000-$392,000) with other benefits are part of a larger Stamps network of more than 1,800 current and graduate scholars around the world.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an international Students
- Have an outstanding academic achievement
- Be commitment to service
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Have an outstanding moral character
- Be a full time undergraduate students from any college or major
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. If a scholar’s cumulative GPA falls below this requirement at the conclusion of their second semester of freshman year, or at the conclusion of any semester thereafter, they will be placed on scholarship probation and retain the scholarship for the next semester. They will then have the opportunity to re-establish a cumulative GPA over 3.0. If for two consecutive semesters they have a cumulative average below 3.0, the scholarship will be revoked for the following semester. Stamps Scholars will regain the scholarship if their cumulative average returns to 3.0 or higher.
- Maintain a good academic and disciplinary standing. If a scholar is subject to academic or disciplinary probation or dismissal, they will automatically lose their scholarship and status as a scholar and will not be reconsidered.
- University merit scholarship consideration is given for a maximum of eight semesters (ten semesters for the five-year Architecture program).
Note: Scholarship eligibility is not extended to account for any semester(s) the scholar did not meet requirements for.
Scholarship Benefits
Aside from the generous merit scholarship package at the University of Notre Dame, successful candidates also receives the following:
- An annual scholarship that covers tuition and fees as well as the estimated cost of books, personal expenses, and transportation for up to four years of study (or five years for a student in the School of Architecture or approved dual-degree programs) as a full-time undergraduate student at the University
- A $12,000 enrichment fund for expenses including, but not limited to, Outward Bound, study abroad, unpaid internships and research, leadership training, conference fees, and travel
Method of Application
All applicants for the Stamps Scholars Program 2026 at University of Notre Dame both Restrictive Early Action (REA) and Regular Decision (RD) are considered for the Stamps Scholarship. No additional application is necessary.
Applicants being considered for the Stamps Scholarship will be notified of any required next steps in early December for the REA cycle and early March for the RD cycle.
