Exceptional students from socioeconomically underserved backgrounds in eligible US-MEPI regions are invited to apply for US-MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program 2027 for a chance to pursue an undergraduate degree program in the USA from 2027 academic year.
The US-MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program offers highly motivated candidates with financial need who are from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region the opportunity for an Undergraduate scholarships to any of the two partner universities in the USA.
This scholarship is Sponsored by the Department of State’s U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) to provide financial support towards an undergraduate study at the American University of Beirut, and the Lebanese American University. Students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for leadership roles at local, national, and regional levels.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank or Palestinian students who currently reside in a third country with legal residency status, or Yemen.
- Be current high school seniors or applicants who graduated from high school in 2026.
- Applicants from Iraq, Libya, Syria, West Bank or Palestinian students who currently reside in a third country with legal residency status, and Yemen who graduated high school in 2025 are also eligible.
- Current high school seniors must maintain their high academic achievement and pass their leaving exam.
- Have strong academic credentials.
- Have maturity, flexibility, and leadership potential.
- Have proficiency in written and spoken English. A minimum TOEFL iBT score of 4.0 (new 1–6 scale) or 80 (old 0–120 scale), received within two years of the program start date.
- Have ability to travel and start their undergraduate program in August 2027.
Note: U.S. citizens and U.S. legal permanent residents are not eligible to apply.
