University of Oxford AIG Scholarships 2023-2024 for Nigerians

The Africa Initiative for Governance which often shortened as AIG in partnership with the University of Oxford are pleased to invite highly qualified and suitable young Nigerians who wish to further their academic carrier in the UK to enroll for their ongoing Scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic session.

The scholarship program is a fully funded one, thus making it one of the most competitive study offer when it comes to Masters scholarship program for Nigerians to study in the Britain. Successful applicants will pursue a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government and University. The award is valued at about £50,000 for each successful applicant who who have demonstrated a passion for the public sector. After completing their degrees, scholars return to their countries and use their learning to bolster policy making, support reforms and contribute to their nation’s development.

Successful applicant or Scholars for the AIG program will have to dedicate their one year to studying in one of the world’s top universities, gaining knowledge and skills from the outstanding academic faculty and expert practitioners and interacting with other future public sector leaders from around the world. After completing their degrees, scholars return to their countries and use their learnings to bolster policy-making, support reforms and contribute to their nation’s development.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for the 2023-2024 University of Oxford AIG Scholarships;

  • Interested applicant must be a Nigerian currently working in the public sector (Ministries, Departments, Agencies & Parastatals) at either Federal or State levels.
  • Interested applicant must be around the ages between 25 and 45.
  • Interested applicant must have a minimum of seven (7) years (combined private & public sector) work experience.
  • Interested applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class upper qualification and from a reputable institution.
  • Interested applicant must be willing to abide by the AIG learning policy.

Additional Information:

  • Due to high volumes of applications, only applicants shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process will ne contacted, and any inquiries regarding individual application status will not be responded to.
  • Only applications submitted via the online application portal will be considered.
  • Candidates who emerge as finalists in the selection process will be required to apply directly to the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, for admission. Full support will be provided throughout the application process. Finalists offered admission to the Master of Public Policy will be considered for the AIG Scholarship.
