Minority Africa Fellowship 2023 for African Journalists and Storytellers

The Minority Africa Fellowship 2023 for African Journalists and Storytellers is an intensive six months paid program, where African Journalists and Storytellers will polish their existing reporting abilities both from a skill and thematic perspective but will also be trained on the intersecting areas and groups of focus for the fellowship. Successful fellows have so many things to benefit from the fellowship.

The Minority Africa Fellowship is offering a Fellowship program that focuses on journalists and storytellers from minority groups in Africa. Through this project, these individuals will gain access to the platform, skills, and mentorship they need to create datadriven multimedia journalism to share stories from and about their communities. The fellowship provides fellows with a six-month paid program to develop their reporting skills and learn about groups outside of their own communities. Through the program, fellows will gain insight into a variety of topics and themes and be trained in the intersecting areas and groups of focus for the fellowship.

At the conclusion of the program, the fellows will have produced 12 stories that encompass reported multimedia features, opinions, and analysis, concerning Minority Africa. The program is conducted online and will begin in May of 2023 and end in October of the same year.
