Suitably qualified Applicants from African and eligible countries mentioned are invited to apply for the MENA and Horn of Africa, Sahel, and SIDS Scholarships 2024 to take advantage of the master’s scholarships, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The IHE Delft Water and Development, providing a limited number of scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This Master’s scholarship funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The IHE Delft Water and Development includes both a full and partial scholarship. The full scholarships include the total cost of the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development such as Tuition fees, insurance, international travel costs, and an allowance of EURO 1,115 per month for the cost of living and accommodation during the complete study period while the partial scholarship includes just a few of these benefits mentioned.

Eligibility for the MENA and Horn of Africa, Sahel, and SIDS Scholarships 2024:

  • Applicants must hold Academic admission to the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.
  • Applicants must be living and/or working in one of the eligible countries.
  • Applicants must agree to conduct MSc research in their country/region associated with one of the projects implemented by the Programme.
  • Applicants must actively participate in and contribute to the seminars organized for the learning networks of the Programme.
  • Applicants must confirm to return to their country of origin or another priority country of the programme.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong priority for female candidates
  • Strong motivation (you have to answer 5 motivation questions in your online application)
  • Strong academic background
  • Preference to candidates with relevant work experience.
